JAVASCRIPT AND JAVASCRIPT SUPPORT

BROWSER VERSIONS THAT SUPPORT JAVASCRIPT

HOW TO TURN ON JAVASCRIPT

  •   In Netscape 3.0
  •   In Netscape 4.0 (Communicator) and higher
  •   In Internet Explorer

    JAVASCRIPT AND BROWSERS VERSIONS

Javascript is supported by Netscape Navigator 2.0 and higher, and Internet Explorer 3.0 and higher. However Internet Explorer 3.0 only supports some javascript functions since it was a rather a rush job for Microsoft get it out there with any javascript at all.
Internet Explorer 3.0 does not support form ‘action’ statements which is used to transfer your requests to the database. Therefore if you are using this browser you will need to upgrade to Internet Explorer 4.0 or Netscape. We recommend Netscape as it gives better all around performance and most sites look better when viewed with it. It's also a lot more user friendly.

If you are using a earlier version of the browser you will need to upgrade your version to one that supports javascript before using this site.

Internet Explorer 3.0 and Netscape Navigator 2.0 only support the first version of javascript, you will not be able to use any of the fancier functions that are now in use on the web and may be used on this site when we have a need for them. We don't believe in using something just because it ‘looks cool’ if it does not actually help you our user in some way.

    HOW TO TURN ON JAVASCRIPT

    IN NETSCAPE 3.0.

    1. Click the options on the menu bar.
    2. Click the Network Preference’ option
    3. Take the ‘Languages tab’.
    4. Check the ‘enable javascript’ box
    5. Click OK.

IN NETSCAPE COMMUNICATOR (4.0) and higher

    1. Click ‘Edit’ on the menu bar
    2. Choose Preferences
    3. Click ‘Advanced’ in the Category window
    4. Check the ‘Enable Javascript’ box on the right of the advanced section
    5. Click OK.

    IN INTERNET EXPLORER 3 & 4

There is no ‘javascript’ tag in 3.0 to turn it on you have to enable ActiveX which you might not want to do as it's not as secure for your PC.
However if you are happy turning on ActiveX you need to:

    1. Click ‘View’ on the menu bar
    2. Choose Options
    3. Choose the security tab.
    4. Check the ‘Enable ActiveX scripts’ box.
    5. Click OK.

IN INTERNET EXPLORER 5 AND ABOVE

You can't turn the script off. If you have reached this page, we suggest you download another version of your browser and re-install it since you have a problem we can't really help you with.
